Mike and Ant with their charities for #ClassicRumble

Lancaster Insurance has pledged to donate up to £5 to charity for customers who quote the phrases ‘TeamMike’ or ‘TeamAnt’ when they ring up for an insurance policy. Customers who show support to the Charity Build Off by picking a team when they receive a quote will also be helping the Marie Crawford Boyd Foundation (Mike’s chosen beneficiary) and Harrison’s Fund (Ant’s chosen beneficiary) .

Further reinforcing its commitment to the recently launched, Classic Rumble, a Charity Build Off between Mike Brewer and Ant Anstead, Lancaster Insurance will be making a donation to the Wheeler Dealer’s chosen causes; £1 for every classic car quote provided and a further £4 if the policy is then purchased.

Live now, new and existing customers must quote TeamMike or TeamAnt for the donation to be made. When the campaign closes on the 31st December 2017, the amount raised will be split equally (50/50) between the two and provide an additional donation, on top of the values each car make at auction for the two causes.

Andrew Evanson, Senior Operations Manager, comments: “We’re thrilled to further support the initiatives, by providing up to £5 to charity for every policy we sell that references Team Mike or Team Ant. Every single penny makes a difference to these two incredible organisations and we’ll be doing our very best to support them throughout the year.”

James Crawford, founder of Marie Crawford Boyd Foundation, comments: “This is an amazing platform for us to increase awareness and educate people on Wegener’s Vasculitis, a poisoning of the blood which is known as a ‘silent killer’. We’re thrilled to be involved in the activity and this extra donation will help us provide support for people who suffer from the terminal illness as well as funding research into treatment and hopefully, a cure.”

Alex Smith, founder of Harrison’s Fund, comments: “We’re delighted to be part of this exciting partnership. Ant has been a supporter of the charity and its work for a long time and knows just how important every penny we raise is in fighting Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy – the most common genetic killer of children. The money raised will go towards funding cutting edge research at the University of Reading which is developing a platform technology for the delivery of RNA-targeted gene medicines that help address the spectrum of pathologies of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It is through research projects like this that we hope Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy will one day be a treatable, if not curable disease and our children have a life past childhood.”
